How many words per minute can you type?

How many words per minute can you type on your keyboard. Do you use the all-too-familiar index finger roller or have you learned touch typing with correct fingering? Be smart and train your skills here, while avoiding peeking at the keyboard.

Description

If you want to test how many words per minute you can type, you can do so via the tool above. All you need to do is start typing the word that is bold in blue with green background and then press the spacebar (return also works). Uppercase and lowercase letters matter.

You will be presented with a number of words and when you have filled in all of them you will be told how long it took you and how many words per minute you managed to type.

Repeat the test more than once and take an average to get a fairer result. Everyone can stumble on the keys when trying to overachieve.

All tests consist of 20 words, where the average number of words written is then calculated depending on the number of characters in the words. This is to always get the most accurate results possible.

We have now been around for just under 15 years and over half a million typing tests have been completed by approximately the same number of visitors in that time.
